Kathryn Jukes is a chartered town planner with a wealth of experience gained in both the public and private sector. Kathryn started her career in the public sector by working for a number of local planning authorities. This provided a sound basis and an understanding of how the planning system works - from the perspective of the decision maker.
Kathryn then joined the private sector where she was able to gain a wide range of experience by dealing with a variety of development proposals - from a commercial perspective. Kathryn was also able to establish a credible network of contacts across property related disciplines and public sector organisation.
More recently, Kathryn was seconded to a post with the Government where she had responsibilities for the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Strategy. She also provided briefing to Ministers, helped implement government initiatives and advised local authorities on planning policy matters. The experience proved to be invaluable in terms of wider policy knowledge, experience and extending her network of contacts.
